Annulus thermal recovery pump is a new type of rod pump developed specifically for the production of heavy oil. The pump's working principle is changed by the replacement of the original inlet valve with a circulating valve which has larger flow area and shorter flow path thus greatly helps to reduce resistance.
Moreover, the short barrel combined with the long plunger structure not only reduces the possibility of sand blockage but also ensures more stable performance in complicated well conditions.
